Upgrade Your Tablet to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich Firmware with These Easy Steps

There is news on Android 4.0.4 update for Samsung Galaxy S2, seems that it has been released but did we not hear this before? Anyway, I checked via Kies in Mauritius and still nothing. Do Samsung cheese me off with their ice cream sandwich?See -PDAs/Samsung-Galaxy-SII-gets-Android-404-update_10136.html

While the tablet sports Android 4.0 goodies such as a new tabbed web browser and user interface, it does not appear to be a Google certified device. It ships without the Google Play Store, and the user manual instead suggested downloading the Amazon Appstore in order to install third party apps.

Cannot get latest update from youtube from the market and fail to remove the old youtube from tablet, this firmware will fix this issue "remove old youtube and let you install latest youtube from market"

The Android Smartphones and tablets are available to operate by the Android OS, which was released in February 2009. Many devices get a customized operating system (OS) version because it is open-source. However, most have a comparable feel and look and offer similar functionality. Up to Android 10, every operating system had a dessert codename, like KitKat, Cupcake, Lollipop, ice cream sandwich, and so on. Now, you must get an idea of how to upgrade Android 4.0.4 to the latest version.

We have received many comments from Arnova 10 G2 users on how complex it is for them to flash a custom firmware. While we are working on better documentation and tutorials for the flashing procedure, we decided to make a very simple firmware that is very similar to the default one from Arnova and very easy to install. This article will tell you more about our Kasty EZ firmware, to get you a working Google Play (formerly Android Market) on your Arnova 10 G2 Tablet in less than 10 minutes just from your tablet, without any drivers or computer needed.

This firmware is made for and has been tested only on Arnova 10 G2 tablets with 8 Gb Flash storage. It should not be used on other tablets, especially Philadelphia Inquirer or HSN models that would loose their default software.

For Step 1, instead of using Appslib, you can also choose to manually download and install the firmware, we are providing a link for you, together with the official Arnova Flashing procedure

Step 2. Download and Install the Market PackageAfter the device has restarted following the firmware flash, follow the Arnova wizard to configure the tablet again, then setup the WIFI.Go to Appslib again to download , Arctools like in Step 1, then start/open the application.Download the Market package, the default selection (Default Apps & Market (Android 2.3)) should be kept, it will install latest Android Market 3.4.4Press the Install buttonRestart the device

Our friend BlueSkyRiver has just produced another custom firmware for the Arnova 9 G2 with a new interface inspired from the Android 4.1 JellyBean. With this firmware you will benefit of thousands of applications from Google Play Store, a new interface and many new possibilities. Many bugs have been corrected and the tablet should be more stable.

This page lists the firmwares made available by Arnova for their products thru the Support/Downloads section on their website. If you are looking to get Google Play (formerly Android Market) on your tablet, please refer to our custom firmware section.

Step 2. Reconfigure your device on the newly installed firmwareAfter the device has restarted following the firmware flash, follow the Arnova wizard to configure the tablet again, then setup the WIFI.

I bought a Samsung Galaxy 10.1 Tablet (first version) in 2012 and everything work perfect till that August I recieved a notification saying that the android / samsung company had too upgrade my tablet too Icecream Sandwich 4.0.4...So without second guessing,I did it and hit the approved button..It said it would take a hour too install upgrade,It did not ask anything or say anything that this would cause a nightmare for me for so long..After the install was finish and turn it,and starting adding apps from google market (android) and samsung apps too-won't work...come too find out the upgrade stops you from adding apps and downloads too which is a Tablet that has a (ROOT) with a BLOCK on it..this really upsets me that now Im stuck with a tablet that Ive had over 90 days of returning it or exchange it,Ive call samsung and got no help and a run around excuses for repairs and warranties,Ive had many Computer Tech Repair Services wanting alot of money too UNBLOCK ROOT and reinstall the lastest JellyBean for the tablet...I love my tablet and do everything with it at home and on the go,some features I can handle without..But I need some serious, serious help too UNBLOCK ROOT and download/install the latest version of JellyBean...Ive been robbed of all the features from one of the greatest samsung tablets of all time for far too long...I would be so grateful if somebody could help :(

I have a Samsung 10" tab 2 and did the 4.1 upgrade but every time I turn the tablet on it wants to do the upgrade again, it will give the option of later and gives a 1 hour or 3 hour option. I went into setting and it is still showing 4.0 firmware software. I tried doing to upgrade twice and it goes all the way through the software install and reboots the system but then it come up on the screen again to install the upgrade again

Amazon app store not working seems to be a constant problem on this tablet. The store will work ok, then if I put thetablet to sleep or off the store acts as you describe. The only fix I have found is to delete the app and re-download it from Amazon. But then it happens again. The getjar app store does not have this problem, but it is much more limited. Also, try downloading the Google Play store that Nate has a link to above.

When I first tried this on my Arnova 10 g2 after I got the formatting system on the Arnova screen with the little android it then went to a graphic of a circle with CUSTOM arctablet.com FIRMWARE and then nothing happened this was because I push the upgrade button and not the restore button on the rockchip flashing tool.

A couple weeks ago, I ran across an amazing deal for a cheap 7 inch android tablet. I had been thinking about getting a tablet, but hadn't bitten as I'm saving up for other things at the moment. However, this particular tablet was $20 after rebate, so I couldn't pass it up.

After much painstaking research, I determined that my Trio Stealth Pro 7 has several sub-models. My particular model lacks an HDMI port, and the architecture is different enough that most ROMs wouldn't work. The Trio Stealth Pro is a clone of the LY-F1 tablet, which uses the Allwinner A10 chipset (though in my case, it was the A13 chipset). To install a new firmware, you use software called LiveSuit (local / mirror), a Windows-only program. There is a Linux port, but it didn't work for my model (likely because I have the A13 chipset).

Use LiveSuit to flash the image you created (or the jb_final.img image if you downloaded the end result). First, open LiveSuit, select no, then select the image. Make sure your tablet is turned off and disconnected from the computer. Press the Volume Up button, then hold it. While doing that, plug in the usb to the computer and quickly (within 3 seconds) press the power button 10 times. LiveSuit will ask to format the device. Say yes twice.
